The prerequisites to qualify for the certification process have been designed to take into account the possible diversity of
education & practical experience an individual may have.
However, each CEM candidate must meet one of the following criteria.

* A four-year engineering degree or architecture degree. Or a P.E. with at
least three years experience in energy engineering or energy management.
*A four-year business or related degree, with at least five years experience
in energy engineering or energy management.
* A two-year technical degree, with eight years experience in energy
engineering or energy management.
* Ten years or more verified experience in energy engineering or energy
management. (Note: Letters of reference and verification of employment
must be submitted.)

Piedmont Air Conditioning announces the hiring of Mark Roberts as Service Sales Representative with Piedmont in the Fayetteville market. Mark is a native of Michigan and a graduate from Western Michigan University with a BA in Sales and Business Marketing. Mark previously served in the US Navy as an Operations Specialist aboard the USS Enterprise, and brings with him 7 years experience in Sales.  Mark looks forward to building relationships and providing proactive service and energy solutions to Commercial and Industrial customers in the area.

Piedmont Air Conditioning is proud to announce the hire of Erika Martinez, PHR as the new Human Resources Manager.  Erika has 11 years of human resources experience and has worked in a variety of industries such as hospitality, education, government and senior living.  She is a graduate of Florida International University with a BS in Hospitality Management.  As the HR Manager, Erika will be responsible for recruiting and retention of PAC Associates, employee benefits, coordination of internal training programs, employment law updates and employee relations.  Welcome Erika!

Piedmont Air Conditioning is proud to announce Scott Gugenheim as Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  Scott is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Degree in Management, Finance Concentration.  He comes to us from the Raleigh office of Siemens Building Technologies Division, where he held the titles of  Energy and Environmental Solutions General Manager for Georgia/Carolinas District and Enterprise Accounts Manager, Energy USA.  Prior to working with Siemens, Scott worked for Johnson Controls as a National Accounts Manager.  Scott brings a great deal of experience in large account selling in all phases of HVAC and energy services.  He will be a great compliment and asset to our sales staff in every office and every division at Piedmont.  Welcome Scott!

A great new service at Piedmont Air Conditioning!

PAC has receieved our Indoor Air Quality Testing Certification.  This certification allows Piedmont to offer IAQ, Microbial, and Industrial Hygiene testing to our customers.  This value added service will include Microbial Testing, Asbestos Testing, Legionella Testing, Endotoxin Testing, Mycotoxin Testing, Sewage Screen Testing, Indoor Allergen Testing, Industrial Hygiene Testing and Interpretation of Laboratory Test Results.  We have offered mold and asbestos test since 2001.  These additional testing capabilities place Piedmont in the unique position of being the only commercial HVAC in the state to offer complete IAQ testing abilities!
